What’s it gonna be? This is the question I get asked about cake baking, and honestly, I don’t know. I have no idea. I have only made one or two cakes and am still trying to figure out how to make the best cake.

The main reason I like cake baking is it’s a little less daunting to start with, and it doesn’t take much more from the first time you try baking a cake than it does from the third time you try to do a cake. However, it’s a great way to get away with not having to do anything.
