Our own version of paprika is definitely not as vibrant or delicious as our American version, but it’s still very tasty. We still think that some people would like to eat paprika and not be too concerned about the color, but our version is a lot more colorful and flavorful. It’s a good thing Paprika is available to all the states because if we were to sell our product in Mexico, we would have to import it.
Paprika is a fruit native to South America. It’s a vegetable in that you cook it, it becomes a spice, and you eat it. Its a great snack spice in its own right, but it is also an excellent condiment when it comes to things like guacamole, salsa, and hummus. We usually buy our products in bulk when we can, but this year we had to buy a lot when the demand was high. We have a small supply of paprika, but we needed to be able to get it to all the states we sell it in. So we sent out dozens of orders, and we received over 1000 pounds in the mail from Mexico.
The best way to ensure that you have a healthy supply of paprika is to grow it yourself. We recently got in touch with a local Mexican man who grows a huge amount of paprika in his garden. We are very excited to share our recipe with all of you.
